Statin treatment reduces the risk of developing a second heart attack

In a new study Japanese researches found that treatment with statin after a heart attack, is so helpful to reduce the long-term effects of heart attacks. As Michitaka Nagashima from the Heart Institute of Japan in Tokyo.

The study included 702 participants. Those patients treated with statin after they experienced a heart attack. After four years of detecting, the results showed that about 36 percent of the patients reduced the risk of developing another heart attack.
